After-Hours and Emergencies
If you have an emergent or urgent medical problem after hours, just call our office number and our answering service will help you reach the doctor on call.
Unless it's a life-threatening emergency, please call us before going to a hospital emergency room or urgent-care clinic. We may be able to provide advice over the phone that is most compatible with your insurance plan.
In case of life-threatening illness or injury,
call 9-1-1 immediately or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
Prescription Refills
Please contact your pharmacy during weekdays to request refills. They will fax the request to us to make sure it's accurate. Please give them at least two days' notice. If you need a new prescription, call our office with the name and phone number of the desired pharmacy.
Lab Results
We will call you or send you a letter regarding test results as soon as we have the reports. Or please contact us if you haven't heard from us within a few days after your test.
Referrals
If your physician thinks you need specialty care, you will be referred to the appropriate specialist. Many insurance companies now require a referral from your primary-care doctor prior to seeing a specialist. Please contact us about your referral in advance.
Insurance and Payment Policy
We will ask that you provide us with copies of your insurance card and billing information so we may bill your insurance carrier for you. Insurance co-payments must be paid at the time of service. If you do not have insurance, please talk to us to arrange appropriate payment options, or about whether you qualify for financial assistance.
